THE BROADSIDES
The Broadsides is an alternative country music band from Auckland, New Zealand. Their music is a unique crossover of bluegrass, rockabilly, traditional country music, gypsy, swamp blues and punk rock.
Due to their traditional musical influences their branding required a marriage of all these musical influences's stylistic symbols and icons. The use of the pin-up girls enhances their "retro-ness". The rest speaks for itself, the use of "sideshow" poster elements, the use of western fonts and icons of American Southern culture is a further reference to their musical stylings.
